The picture below shows one way to reduce the production of well water cut with oil .. The high water percentage is taken from the upper layer and injected into the lower layer after isolating the oil by Hydrocyclones as the isolated oil is produced to the surface.
This method is implemented by Schlumberger Company as one of the water control methods.
